WVAA has a lending library of all-in-one smart telescopes for public use during our events. You can come with your equipment or utilize WVAA devices to choose and take your sharable image. WVAA has an online community through Discord which will allow you to learn topics from complete beginner to advanced astrophotographer who wants to expand their knowledge. Our purpose is to promote amateur astrophotography and “astroscape” or nightscape photography and serve as an in-person and online community to join, share, grow, and pass on the science and art of astrophotography in the local, state, national and larger worldwide community.
WVAA offers a unique experience at our Stars and Coffee Star Parties. You learn from astrophotographers who want to teach you about the night skies while enjoying coffee and or hot chocolate. Bring the family out for a fun night under the stars. With our new smartscopes from Seestar and Dwarf Labs, you too can choose a celestial object and direct the smart scope to navigate to it and watch your own photograph “live stack” on your personal smart device. You can instantly share it with family and friends and later have your own print made from it.
